Philosophy of Shivabhisek / Rudrabhisek

 Shivabhisek

"Shivabhisek" or lingabhisek or Rudrabhisek word made by Rudra & Abhisek, means a bath of linga (the symbolic representation of Shiva).

Linga means the body without hands and legs so there is devoid of performance and there also the absence of a head denotes an absence of thought. worship of linga means worship of Shivalinga.

(interpretation by Hampi priest - 2016)

Shivalinga is a symbolic form of the union of male and female but, this is just not only about the Shivabhisek ;
Manav-sarira means Jiva-sarira (human body). In the Jiva-sarira, if there is an absence of hands and legs that means there is no Pravruti(activity), so there is no Karma(work) exist, and the absence of work means there is not any kind of result or expectation (beyond the concept of Karmayog). Second thing, if there is an absence of Mastaka(head) that means there is no thought & logic. so there is not any difference of good or bad, that is the concept of Adwaita (the concept of supreme one by Sankaracharya).

In a spiritual way, when Jivasarir leaves activity and logic, that time Jiva becomes Shiva.

Practically, it's not possible to leave work or activity, so when humans take a bath and purify their body at that time he keeps in mind he is the part of the supreme one, and while bathing remembers the shiva and meditates his pure form. that gives pure energy and provide the spiritual path.
