About Artist

Hardik Chavda is a graduate student under the department of Painting, M.S. University Baroda. He is pursuing his Master Degree in the Mural Design at M.S. University and he is working with natural mediums, especially with Ceramic. He chose the ceramic medium for explore the idea of creative process & unique techniques.

He worked with Senior Ceramic artists to assist them. When he started his Master degree programme he joins the Ceramic studio of Mr. Yogesh Mahida and has assisted him for one year. Moreover, done his one-month residency programme under Bombay based Ceramic Artist Sandeep Manchekar. There he learnt techniques of mural making. He has also done his internship programme under the Kavita Pandya.

In his final year of Master’s Degree, he has assisted the Swiss Ceramic Artist Jacques Kaufmann in making terracotta work at Udaan. Also, gained experience from Contemporary Ceramic Artist Vinod Daroz and Rashi Jain and working with them for this Project.

Hardik is also interested in local Art of village, has visited the Thangadh (Gujarat), Dharavi (Mumbai), Jetpur (Gujarat) and many other places, he has been a keen observer for their traditional techniques for developing his techniques for making further interesting works.
